Curation Note
The Tasting
-
Appearance & Nose
01The Sangiovese Grosso, in purity, finds its ultimate expression in the terroir of Brunello di Montalcino, bestowing remarkable substance and depth upon this wine. The harvest period, in the second half of October, and the 60-day maceration with spontaneous fermentation, bear witness to an approach that respects the raw material. The 45-month aging in large 30hl barrels, followed by an additional 4 months in tank, foreshadows a complexity that invites contemplation.

Palate & Finish
02On the palate, this full-bodied red unfolds intense notes that make it an ideal companion for braised game or a classic bistecca alla fiorentina.
