The Tasting

Appearance & Nose
01The Quarrata hills, south-facing with vineyards stretching at medium-high altitudes, give The Vinum's CHIANTI RISERVA DOCG a solid territorial expression, well supported by prolonged maturation. The Sangiovese grape, vinified with controlled temperature fermentation and aged for at least 24 months in large Slavonian oak barrels, foreshadows a certain complexity in the aromatic profile.

Palate & Finish
02On the nose, notes reminiscent of red fruits and tertiary scents from the long aging process are perceived. The tasting reveals a robust structure and a taste that lends itself to succulent red meat dishes such as a Florentine steak, green peppercorn fillet, or braised wild boar.
