Vin Santo del Chianti Classico DOC 2010
The Tasting
A guided note in three moments, by our curators
-
Appearance & Nose
01San Fabiano Calcinaia presents its Vin Santo del Chianti Classico DOC 2010, an expression of Tuscan tradition resulting from a long and patient wood fermentation ranging from five to eight years, followed by six months of bottle aging. The composition, dominated by Trebbiano and Malvasia grapes (90%) with a touch of Canaiolo and Sangiovese (10%), suggests a complex and enveloping aromatic profile that unfolds in the glass with amber hues.

Palate & Finish
02On the nose, notes evoking dried fruit and a slight oxidation are perceived, a prelude to a dense and concentrated palate, where sweetness is balanced by a vibrant aromatic vein.

At the Table
03This nectar pairs splendidly with almond cantucci, chestnut cake, and blue cheeses.
