The Tasting
-
Appearance & Nose
01The Corretta Chianti Classico presents a vibrant ruby red hue, hinting at its youthful exuberance, and offers an inviting bouquet of ripe cherry, subtle violet, and a whisper of Tuscan herbs. Upon swirling, notes of sun-drenched earth and a touch of leather emerge, characteristic of Sangiovese's noble expression.

Palate & Finish
02On the palate, this Chianti Classico is wonderfully balanced, with bright acidity that enlivens the red fruit flavors and a fine-grained tannic structure that provides delightful grip. The finish is persistent and savory, leaving a lingering impression of dried plum and a pleasant minerality. This wine is an excellent companion to classic Tuscan dishes such as Pappardelle al Cinghiale (wild boar pasta) and Bistecca alla Fiorentina, as well as grilled lamb chops or a hearty lentil soup. It also shines alongside aged Pecorino cheese.
