Barbera d’Asti D.O.C.G.
The Tasting
A guided note in three moments, by our curators
-
Appearance & Nose
01The Barbera d’Asti D.O.C.G. from Gaglione Simone Az.Agr. originates from a 20-25 year old vineyard managed with the Guyot system, on a clayey limestone soil situated between 250 and 300 meters above sea level in Alto Monferrato, in an area with a south-south/west exposure.

Palate & Finish
02After maceration on the skins until the end of fermentation, followed by malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged for approximately three months before bottling, appearing in the glass with an intense ruby red color. On the nose, this still red reveals a complex and vibrant aroma, with evident notes of wild berries.

At the Table
03It pairs splendidly with baked lamb dishes or roast veal with potatoes.
