Rubesto Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC Riserva
The Tasting
A guided note in three moments, by our curators
-
Appearance & Nose
01Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, the region's key grape variety, finds one of its most authentic expressions in this Rubesto. On the nose, an interesting complexity is perceived, developing after a 7-12 day maceration and fermentation on the skins, followed by malolactic fermentation and aging, partly in steel and partly, briefly, in large barrels.

Palate & Finish
02This Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC Riserva, with its 13.5% alcohol content, then reveals itself on the palate with character.

At the Table
03It is a red that pairs perfectly with robust traditional Abruzzese dishes, such as arrosticini or pasta alla chitarra with lamb ragù.
