Curation Note
The Tasting
A guided note in three moments, by our curators
-
Appearance & Nose
01The Corvina grape, predominant here at 80%, finds an ideal terroir in the hilly morainic soil of Calmasino di Bardolino, accompanied by Rondinella and Molinara. The bright ruby red color anticipates an intense aroma, characterized by vinous notes of violet, red fruits, and a hint of butterscotch.
-
Palate & Finish
02On the palate, it is fresh and savory, the result of a seven-day red vinification with skins and a four-month aging with weekly stirring of the fine lees.
-
At the Table
03It pairs well with Isola-style risotto or herb-crusted lamb chops.
