The Tasting
A guided note in three moments, by our curators
-
Appearance & Nose
01Azienda Agricola Alfonso Rotolo, with its Masso del Geco, presents a Primitivo in the Paestum IGP key that speaks of its territory. The grapes of this varietal were vinified in steel at a controlled temperature, then underwent twelve months of aging in oak barriques, followed by a further period in bottle. In the glass, it reveals an intense and lively ruby red, with violet reflections that anticipate a complex and fine aroma, where notes of plum, blackberry, and sour cherry alternate with floral notes of wisteria and withered violet, with hints of toast, sweet spices, licorice, and carob that fade towards a balsamic.
